The Cow Paddy Run is comprised of a 5K and a 1K fun run at Gulley Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas presented by The Spark Foundation. Funds raised from the event are donated to the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, which supports innovative educational projects in schools, and cash prizes based on highest student participation are awarded to local schools to go toward health and fitness education.
What makes Cow Paddy special?
Runners of all ages and experience levels come together for an evening together to celebrate healthy habits. Students from elementary and middle school running clubs attend with friends, family, and teachers. Every runner receives a finisher medal as soon as they cross the finish line. The Cow Paddy Run is often the first race that many young children ever run! We love seeing students and their families come back year after year.
We also partner with Community Creative Center and local schools to host a design workshop or class day as part of our Annual T-shirt Design Contest. We’re big fans of arts integration, so this is the perfect chance to share your passion for art and running! Each year, the artists who created the Top 3 designs get cash prizes. The grand prize? First place design goes on that year’s race shirt that every runner, volunteer, and staff wear! Check out previous winners below.
